We are a POA, not a HOA, do the laws apply?
A residential property owners' association regardless of whether the entity is designated as a "homeowners' association," "community association," or similar designation in the restrictions or dedicatory instrument.
If I rent / lease my property, do I have to notify the POA?
As the property owner it is in your best interest. If your "tenant" violates the lease agreement, which should include abiding by the associations documents, you will have legal recourse with your tenant. A property owners' association may request the following information to be submitted to the association regarding a lease or rental applicant: (1) contact information, including the name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address of each person who will reside at a property in the subdivision under a lease; and (2) the commencement date and term of the lease.
Is the clubhouse for rent?
Yes, property owners can rent the clubhouse on a first come, first serve basis. Call or come by the office to reserve your date.
What is the difference between Deed Restrictions and the Architectural Review Authority (ARA)?
Deed Restrictions are violations such as overgrown lots, excessive trash, junk boats & vehicles, falling down structures, exterior issues, etc. The ARA is responsible for approval on new construction, exterior repairs or additions. What are the Deed Restrictions for a septic system in HH POA?
